How SongSim Events collects, uses, and protects your personal information.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, including: name, email address, phone number, and payment details when you create an account or make a purchase. For organizers, we also collect organization details and payout information (mobile money or bank account details). We automatically collect device information, IP address, browser type, and usage data when you access the Platform.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: (a) process ticket purchases and votes; (b) manage your account and provide customer support; (c) send transaction confirmations and receipts; (d) process organizer payouts; (e) improve the Platform and user experience; (f) prevent fraud and ensure security; (g) comply with legal obligations under Ghanaian law.

3. Payment Information

Payment processing is handled by Paystack, a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor. We do not store your full card numbers or mobile money PINs on our servers. Paystack's privacy policy governs the handling of your payment data. We only retain transaction references and amounts for record-keeping and dispute resolution.

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information with: (a) event organizers — limited attendee data necessary for event management; (b) Paystack — for payment processing; (c) law enforcement — when required by Ghanaian law or court order; (d) service providers — who assist in operating the Platform, under strict confidentiality agreements.

5. Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session, remember preferences, and analyze Platform usage. Essential cookies are required for the Platform to function. You can disable non-essential cookies through your browser settings, though this may affect your experience.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (HTTPS), secure password hashing, and access controls. While we strive to protect your information, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We encourage you to use strong, unique passwords for your account.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Transaction records are retained for a minimum of 6 years as required by Ghanaian tax and financial regulations. You may request deletion of your account data by contacting us, subject to legal retention requirements.

8. Your Rights

Under the Ghana Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843), you have the right to: (a) access your personal data; (b) request correction of inaccurate data; (c) request deletion of your data (subject to legal obligations); (d) object to processing of your data; (e) withdraw consent at any time. 9. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly. Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided information should contact us immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of significant changes via email. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates the most recent revision. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
